Buyers can add adjustments to a Purchase Order which will be applied to associated Invoices when they are approved. An adjustment has a type (debit or credit), an amount, and a reason chosen from a preset list. Comments are optional.
How to add an Adjustment to a Purchase Order
1. Select the Purchase Order from the Purchase Order ledger.
2. Specify the details of the adjustment.
Adjustments can be applied to a Purchase Order with status OPEN.
Adjustments can be applied to a Purchase Order with status FULFILLED while at least one associated Invoice is not locked. An Invoice is locked when it has a status of PAYMENT DUE, SETTLED or EXTERNAL.
Adjustments cannot be applied to a Purchase Order with status CANCELLED.
There is no limit to the value of a credit or debit adjustment that can be applied to a Purchase Order.
How to Add Adjustments to Multiple Purchase Orders in a Single Transaction
An adjustment can be added to a group of Purchase Orders in one transaction.
1. Select the relevant Purchase Orders from the Purchase Order ledger.
2. Specify the details of the adjustment.

Adjustments can only be applied to OPEN or SUSPENDED Purchase Orders. When allocating an adjustment to multiple Purchase Orders, any that are CANCELLED or FULFILLED will be unaffected.
