Matching is the process of checking the rules in a Smart Contract on an Open Account program. Kanexa executes matching automatically when all the required documents have been submitted, e.g. Purchase order, invoice and logistics. If all the Smart Contract rules are satisfied, the invoice is marked as MATCHED and can then be APPROVED. If one or more rules are not satisfied, the invoice is marked as DISCREPANT, and can be ACCEPTED or REJECTED by the buyer.
Matching rules
A Matching rule compares a single value in one document with a value in another. For example, a matching rule could compare the unit price in a purchase order line item with the unit price in an invoice line item.
The matching rules on an Open Account Program are visible on the matching tab of any invoice.
Matching status
Each invoice has a STATUS showing its position in the Open Account workflow and a MATCHING STATUS indicating if matching rules are met. An invoice is discrepant if any matching rules fail. Find out more about Matching status.
